OBG Nursing

Maternal and Neonatal Health Nursing focuses on improving the health and well-being of women and new-borns, which is a cornerstone for public health in the Kurdistan region. This department equips nursing students with knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes necessary to care for women during preconception, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and menopause.

Students are trained to recognize each woman as a unique individual with specific health needs, promoting personalized and culturally sensitive care.

The curriculum integrates research methodology and evidence-based practice, enabling students to provide scientifically sound care and participate in research to advance maternal and neonatal health services. Emphasis is placed on both preventive and curative approaches, ensuring students can address routine and high-risk maternal and neonatal cases.
